The boat is not moored on Amstel, as originally listed on the Barqo map! Luckily the owners are flexible, reasonable and good communicators and we found a solution. They are honest - even offered a refund because of the misinformation. Otherwise, the boat was as advertised in the listing, moored at the yacht harbour near the VU. It takes 4 hours to make the trip through the locks and around center and back. The boat is comfortable to sit in, the motor is quiet as it's electric, and the speed is slow. It does take some practice to get the hang of manoeuvring it - because the engine is small the response is imprecise and slow for the boat's size. But it is workable. The front gate on the boat not only makes it wheelchair accessible but is great to lower down for little kids who want to swim and easily climb back in the boat. The front gate also means water always leaks into the boat, as it doesn't seal. Fine on a warm day, but I wouldn't want the wet feel feature on a colder day.
