De etap is een makkelijk zeilend jachtje, vooral als je solo op pad wilt. alles is te bedienen vanuit de kuip, en hij heeft sportieve stabiele zeileigenschappen van zijn lengte. verder is de boot met zijn relatief beperkte binnenruimte, erg doordacht en praktisch ingedeeld.

De boot was uitstekend verzorgd en vooral de motor deed het ook in ingewikkelde situaties (waarin we vroeger bij andere verhuurders soms moeite hadden om de motoren op gang te brengen) heel goed.
